Load this orderHow a QDOBA Order Adds Up
QDOBA builds every entrée on the same line: a tortilla or base, rice, beans, a protein, then queso, salsas and toppings. The 12.5-inch burrito tortilla is one of the heaviest single items on the line, with more calories than most of the proteins.
Protein choice matters more at QDOBA than at many chains. Grilled steak has nearly double the calories of grilled adobo chicken for about the same protein, while pork carnitas is the lightest protein on the chart.
Queso is where QDOBA orders grow. A 4 oz scoop of queso has about twice the calories of a 2 oz scoop, so the size you ask for matters as much as whether you add it.
Burrito, Bowl, Salad or Nachos?
A bowl has the same fillings as a burrito without the tortilla, so switching from Burrito to Bowl removes the tortilla and nothing else. Nachos start from a full serving of tortilla chips, which on its own has more calories than a standard bowl's rice and beans together. On a salad, the crunchy tortilla shell has more calories than any protein on the chart, so leave it off if you are counting.
Getting More Protein at QDOBA
Grilled adobo chicken and grilled steak carry the most protein per portion, and chicken does it for far fewer calories. Beans add real protein too. A bowl with double chicken and beans, no rice, is the easiest high-protein build. Watch the protein box in the totals as you go.
Watch the Sodium
QDOBA orders can run high in sodium. The 12.5-inch burrito tortilla, the queso, ground beef and grilled steak are among the saltiest items on the chart. Tap More nutrients in the totals to see sodium as you build.
